How many times have you thought, “Tomorrow I’m going to get up and exercise”? “This evening I am going to start my business plan”. “Today I do what I gotta do and transform my life!!!!!” You’re jazzed, determined and confident and then…failure to launch.
No. You’re not the only one. In fact, it’s just about everyone.
There is a solution and it’s so easy it’s “the dumbest thing I have heard in my whole life.”
That quote is from Mel Robbins, the woman who discovered it.
Through her research with neuroscientists, she discovered that our failure to do these things isn’t due to a character flaw or lack of discipline, but rather our brains are wired to protect us from change and uncertainty and change is what these great intentions mean to the primordial parts of our cranial computer.
Robbins’ method actually overcomes this wiring. It may seem ridiculous in its simplicity but who ever said successful techniques had to be hard and complex? Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. Try it for literally five seconds.
Here is an interview Robbins did with Tom Bilyeu on Impact Theory, one of many videos on YouTube of Robbins explaining what it is, why it is and how to do it.
Try it and come back with a comment about how it worked for you.
